Gemma Ewins Counselling and Supervision in Lewes, & Online

Counselling and Psychotherapy

As a Person-centred therapist my focus is on each, unique person I meet. Together we can work with whatever it is you bring to therapy. We will negotiate a contract/way of working that is tailored to you.

Depending upon what you need/want/bring we can decide on the number of sessions and manner in which we work.

I can offer online and in-person sessions, or a combination of both.

Online Therapy
At the outset of the pandemic, I was initially wary about moving my work online but I have come to embrace and appreciate what online therapy can offer and have made this a permanent feature of my work. If you are interested in online sessions, please read the information sheet, here .

I work online in a number of ways:

Video sessions - these are face to face sessions using video conferencing technology. In these sessions I create the same safe, calm environment online that we would have in person. Depending on your experience of working in this way, we can talk about ways to achieve this. We can negotiate the amount and regularity of sessions to meet your individual circumstances.

I have availability for new online clients on Tuesday and Thursday at various times.

Asynchronous text-based therapy - regular scheduled email communication, using therapeutic and expressive writing techniques. This type of therapy is suitable for people who are comfortable with communicating in writing and who like the flexibility of not being confined to specific session times.

I have a limited number of 'in-person' sessions available on Friday mornings.
