Counselling and Psychotherapy
As a Person-centred therapist my focus is on each, unique person I meet. Together we can work with whatever it is you bring to therapy. We will negotiate a contract/way of working that is tailored to you.
People come to counselling for many reasons.
You may have an issue you wish to address, or a difficult experience you want help with.
Or you may have a general sense of dissatisfaction, unhappiness or confusion that is hard to understand or explain and would like somewhere to explore this.
Depending upon what you need/want/bring we can decide on the number of sessions and manner in which we work. This can be short term and solution focused or open ended and in-depth (or a combination of these).
The first session is a two way assessment, where we will find out more about each other and decide whether to schedule further appointments. You are under no obligation to continue after this and some people find that one session is sufficient for their needs.
If I don't feel that I am the right person to work with you and am aware of a practitioner or organisation that is a better fit, I will direct you to them and help with a referral if it is needed.
